- Samuel is a devoted young lawyer with unrivaled legal drafting skills, legal analysis, interpreting and reviewing legal related matters. Prior joining the firm, he worked he successfully conducted his professional internship at the Supreme Court of Rwanda and some leading law firms in Rwanda. Samuel is a enthusiastic legal researcher and author of different legal articles which are available online. His university dissertation was approved and published. As a law student, in several times, he participated in both international and national essay writing Competitions, such as in Lex: lead’s 2019 essay competition, answering “how can access to justice reduce poverty and support economic development”; the 17th international humanitarian law essay competition for east African Universities, and in the second edition of competition and consumer rights essay contest. He has also represented the University of Rwanda in some National Moot Court Competitions. Samuel has undertaken different legal trainings including Training on legal aid provision standards encompassing LAPS in criminal, civil, family, sexual and gender based violence (SGBV) cases and has also attended leadership workshops.
- A Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (DLP) from Institute of Legal Practice and Development (ongoing);
- • Bachelor’s Degree in laws (LL.B) from University of Rwanda with Distinction;
- As in-house counsel at Attorneys House, his duties include drafting of court submissions, contracts, MoUs, articles of association, legal opinions, due diligence reports and other legal documents for or on behalf of the firm’s clients. He also assists in reviewing, negotiating and advising on commercial transactions, and commercial litigation preparation at the law firm.
- His areas of interest include Corporate & commercial law, Banking and financial law, intellectual property law, labour and insurance law, tax law, contract law, consumer protection and competition law. He is a native speaker of Kinyarwanda, has excellent command of English and a working knowledge of French and Swahili.
